Correio Sabiá has developed an Ocean Challenge, which is available on this page of our website (🇺🇸🇬🇧 English) or this page (🇧🇷🇵🇹 Portuguese). You can also find it in the menu, under the tab called “Innovations” (a temporary name for now). Even if the name changes, the Ocean Challenge will remain accessible through the menu.

The goal of this initiative is to make journalism more interactive, promoting environmental education and awareness. The tool is free to use.

In this first English version of the Ocean Challenge, readers can test their marine knowledge through multiple-choice questions — each with four options and only one correct answer.

If you answer correctly, you can move on to the next question. If you get it wrong, you’ll need to wait until 7 a.m. (Brasília time) to unlock new challenges. 

Correio Sabiá’s founder, journalist Maurício Ferro, created the Ocean Challenge using artificial intelligence. It’s one of the many ways we incorporate AI into our newsroom. See more details below.
